Believe in yourself – You can do it!

I know, I know…Cheesy topic, very much spoken about and discussed. The fact of the matter though is that it it’s an important one. We are taught to just walk passed that advice and take it lightly. When in fact we shouldn’t. I’m not going to tickle your ears telling you that you are the number one person on this planet with the greatest gifts given to you. I don’t know your background, and you very well may be a very gifted person with many capabilities. The thing is: what are you doing with them? I have seen people with less capabilities perform better in their lives compared to people that were more gifted and took it for granted. man-lifting-weights

It’s pretty obvious and I hope everyone understands up to this point, that each of us has been given very unique talents. If you don’t want to take my word for it, see what the scriptures say. Each person’s talent is different and unique. But we all  have something that makes us special. Our duty is to unlock that inner gift, and let it shine. I have many times made the argument that a lower achieving person that had odds stack against him and achieved his potential in comparison to one who settled for less, is much more worthy in my view. You can be born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and the success you acquire personally in your life may not be your full potential. In other words, someone who was less privileged may achieve the same results with you or slightly smaller ones. But he in my eyes will be much more worthy than you.

The above statement acknowledges the fact that we weren’t all born to be rocket scientists. And that is perfectly fine, because you need to play with the cards you have been dealt with. I’m sorry if I sound pessimistic but it’s true. You need to learn to play the game, based on what cards you were given. You can sit back in your couch fantasizing about things that are out of your reach, or you can get off your rear end and start working hard. Most people prefer sitting back watching TV. As if it has anything significant to offer. Their choice obviously, but please don’t let that be yours.

Getting back to the original point of this article: believing in yourself. No one will push you to the finish line. And if someone can do that, they shouldn’t. You will carry your own weight and your own success. So from that we get, that you can’t really rely on anyone else. That is a given. Who will care about your success more than their own personal success? No one, and you wouldn’t care either. We are all born (naturally) with a love to take care of our selves. Frankly, this is how it should be. Improving yourself first, will later allow you to help others. But I don’t want to go off topic here. You need to understand, today that you are reading my post, that no one else is going to take care of you: no politician is going to work for your future, no friend is going to sacrifice everything they got for you, and even your family members many times stab you in the back. So although it’s important to have strong people next to you, don’t put all your eggs and focus on them. Focus on yourself first, and then get other people that will push you further too. But you can’t expect to go far in life, if you yourself haven’t been taking care of yourself. Life is going to be tough. It is a daily hustle and frankly, that’s what makes it fun for me. I never get bored because I always have things fighting for (mainly my future.) Put on that hustle muscle (credit: Grant Cardone) and start teaching yourself a lesson. You may win, or you may lose. In any case, if you give it your all, that is all that matters.

Think about it: if you can’t succeed in something, is there any point crying and winning about it? No! Get back up on that horse, dust the dirt of your shoulders and move forward. You can only achieve what you can achieve. That is kind of determined by your strengths, many variables and what people call “luck.” All you can do is do your part and reach for the highest star in the sky. That’s all you need to do. And if you think about it that way, you really understand how much easier life becomes. Think of a poker match: Sure it would be great to get Aces every single round. But that isn’t realistic. Your life may get “a 2 and a 5.” If you are able to play that hand in the most amazing way possible, then to me you are a success and I’d like to meet you. Check out an introductory post I made – it’s worth it.

Go out there and go get them tiger. You can’t fail! You can only fail if you don’t give it all you got. If in fact you do give it all you got but fail, you really succeeded. ‘Cause you couldn’t have done anything better. There is no worse feeling than believing deep inside that you could of worked harder and there was more potential to achieve. You’ll regret it for the rest of your all (depending on importance.) So please make sure every moments counts, because it does. Every effort counts, and if you waste your time and don’t put in your fullest potential, then you are simply an average person who is sitting miserable on a rocking chair, watching TV.

I appreciate all of you guys reading my stuff. I hope this helps at least one person out there, that needed to hear this. And a last piece of advice (then I’ll wrap up this post) would be that you take massive action today! I would love you to hang out with me and have endless discussions. But talking about things won’t put food on your table. Fantasizing about things won’t better your future, and procrastination…well you get what I’m saying. I’m leaving you with the “hustle muscle” video that I found to be very inspiring. See you in the next blogs.
